Hello We would love you to join our friendly scuba diving club in Christchurch, Dorset. We like to go diving and have fun both in and out of the water. We are not a PADI dive club; we welcome all divers from all training agencies as long as you dive within your training and safely. TAL Divers is associated to TAL Scuba Ltd who are a PADI 5 Star IDC centre. The club does not train divers, TAL Scuba Does.
TAL Divers arrange events for TAL Divers club members and TAL Scuba students. None members are welcome a few times to try it out but then you will be asked to join. TAL Divers Dive club is a NOT for profit club associated to and supported by TAL Scuba Ltd this is good for both the dive shop and the dive club.
Please make sure you let Karen know if you're coming to any events or require any gear. We need to know numbers and we need to have a list for the HSE paperwork and insurance, if you don't book with Karen you are not diving with TAL Divers or TAL Scuba and you are not covered by our insurance.

i. Diving membership of TAL Divers (the club) is Open to all qualified divers from any scuba diving agency; social membership is open to anyone (including trainee divers). Social members will transfer to diving membership as and when they become qualified.
ii. The club is run and managed by TAL Scuba Ltd. All membership benefits of the club are determined by TAL Scuba Ltd., which reserves the right to change all benefits as they see fit.
iii. TAL Scuba Ltd reserves the right to restrict membership for the good and benefit of TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd as they see fit. They also reserve the right to remove membership from any person or persons acting in anyway considered by TAL Scuba Ltd to be incompatible with the overall aims of the club or if these terms and conditions are not adhered to.
iv. TAL Divers aim to organise regular dives to various dive sites and various dive boats. This may include pre-booking of charter boats and payment of fees. Once a member has agreed to participate on a club dive that includes a fee, that fee must be honoured financially even if the member is unable to attend.
v. It is the responsibility of the member to arrange transport to and from the site, including entrance and parking fees save where TAL Divers have made other arrangements. Which may include pre-booking and arrangement of transport.
vi. Although club dives would normally be booked through TAL Scuba Ltd in order to obtain the best prices and service levels, club dives will not be conducted and run by TAL Scuba Ltd staff accept where previously notified or requested.
vii. TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd will not and cannot be held responsible for any dives that are cancelled. In all cases, TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd will endeavour to contact all pre-booked divers and notify them of any cancellation, however it is not always possible and TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd take no responsibility for any costs incurred by any cancelled dive for any reason.
viii. All club members are responsible for ensuring that they have the correct level of training and equipment for any dive they partake in. Members are also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and is serviceable. TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd reserve the right to refuse anyone who may not have the correct level of training or equipment or equipment that may not be serviceable.
ix. In any event TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd will not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss, damage, or injury caused to club members, whether self inflicted or by another party.
x. Any training provided during or in conjunction with any club event must be conducted by TAL Scuba Ltd whether payment is made or the training is conducted for free. TAL Divers will not provide any training liability cover or insurance for any unauthorised training. Any training must be pre agreed with TAL Scuba Ltd prior to training commencing.
xi. All club members must prior to diving complete the following a. Sign liability release form/s. b. Satisfactorily complete and have on file an annual Medical declaration or Provide a “fitness to dive” certificate of letter from their Doctor. If any information relating to this fitness to dive self-certification changes you must inform the membership secretary. c. Have been accepted for membership of the club and paid that months fees. Application for membership is subject to approval and may be refused, all decisions are confidential and any reason for refusal will not be given and no corresponded will be entered into relating to a membership refusal.
When you join up you must complete one of these PADI medical fitness to dive forms. You must tell us if the answer to any of these medical questions is YES or if any of your answers change. A YES does not mean you can't dive but it does mean you will have to see a dive Doctor or your GP first to get cleared to dive. - Tell the truth if you need to get checked then go see you docter.
When you join the club TAL Divers you get 2 FREE DSD Discover Scuba Dives for friends. These normally cost £25 each. These are FREE try dives in the swimming pool. You need to get your friends to complete the attached form, making sure they put their date of birth and email address if they have one, so PADI can give them credit for the dives if they go on and learn to dive.
If they answer yes to any of the medical questions they will have to get a letter from their GP saving they are fit to dive or get their GP to complete one of the PADI Medical statements (You can diownload one above).
Karen will also have to know there shoe size and tee shirt size so she knows what scuba kit they will need before she can book them in. Minimum age is 8.
Normally starts about 8pm on a Wednesday Night at 2RiversMeet Swimming Pool and finishes by 11pm. They need to watch a DVD then have a briefing from one of TAL Scubas PRO team and in the water they go.....
