It is a lead pellet that retains all the ballistic advantages of the original Prometheus pellet but with the advantage of better manufacturing technique and weight as its made from lead and not tin alloy. The three advantages of the Penetrator.1- Accuracy. The consistency in manufacturing due to the unique 3 die system used and efficient quality control ensure that the pellets have no swage line on them that would upset their aerodynamics. In tests it outperformed every pellet availabe at 25m and last year the winner of the Hunter Field Challenge Competion used a development version of the pellet. 2 - The ballistic coeffiecient or ogive number of the pellet is very high meaning that it performs extremely efficiently through the air, so whatever energy is imparted on the pellet by the rifle is used more efficiently so the pellet flies flatter and truer. 3 -Due to its unique shape and ballistic characteristics it penetrates quarry better than any other lead pellet.This means that when it hits a rabbit it penetrates the flesh, shatters bone and the shattered bone acts like a hundred little pellets piercing organs etc. It is the most humane pellet available to a hunter.
