1 PADI, RDP - Electronic (eRDP) - OWC Open Water / Scuba Diver, PADI eRDP (Electronic Recreational Dive Planner) The eRDP or Electronic Recreational Dive Planner is basically a calculator that does exactly what the standard RDP (Recreational Dive Planner) Table does.It can be used to plan dives, plan minimum surface intervals and maximum depth planning. It is programmed with all the safety features, and will warn you if you try to do anything silly, it won’t let you do anything unsafe. It can be used in either metric or imperial formats ( The switch is inside the battery compartment ). You simply type in what you plan to do in terms of depth and time and it will give you your pressure groups, minimum surface intervals, no decompression limits etc.It is also a useful device for checking table calculations, as a back up to a dive computer and as a step up from the RDP towards computer ownership.You can also swop between the eRDP and standard RDP at will, so you can do maybe one dive on the standard and the next on the eRDP, PADI Dive Master and Instructor canidates are now required to have an eRDP for their training.
