Terms and Conditions Membership of TAL Divers
i. Diving membership of TAL Divers (the club) is Open to all qualified divers
from any scuba diving agency; social membership is open to anyone (including
trainee divers). Social members will transfer to diving membership as and when
they become qualified.
ii. The club is run and managed by TAL Scuba Ltd. All membership benefits of
the club are determined by TAL Scuba Ltd., which reserves the right to change
all benefits as they see fit.
iii. TAL Scuba Ltd reserves the right to restrict membership for the good and
benefit of TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd as they see fit. They also reserve the
right to remove membership from any person or persons acting in anyway considered
by TAL Scuba Ltd to be incompatible with the overall aims of the club or if
these terms and conditions are not adhered to.
iv. TAL Divers aim to organise regular dives to various dive sites and various
dive boats. This may include pre-booking of charter boats and payment of fees.
Once a member has agreed to participate on a club dive that includes a fee,
that fee must be honoured financially even if the member is unable to attend.
v. It is the responsibility of the member to arrange transport to and from the
site, including entrance and parking fees save where TAL Divers have made other
arrangements. Which may include pre-booking and arrangement of transport.
vi. Although club dives would normally be booked through TAL Scuba Ltd in order
to obtain the best prices and service levels, club dives will not be conducted
and run by TAL Scuba Ltd staff accept where previously notified or requested.
vii. TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd will not and cannot be held responsible for
any dives that are cancelled. In all cases, TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd will
endeavour to contact all pre-booked divers and notify them of any cancellation,
however it is not always possible and TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd take no responsibility
for any costs incurred by any cancelled dive for any reason.
viii. All club members are responsible for ensuring that they have the correct
level of training and equipment for any dive they partake in. Members are also
responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and is
serviceable. TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd reserve the right to refuse anyone
who may not have the correct level of training or equipment or equipment that
may not be serviceable.
ix. All club members are responsible for their own equipment, TAL Divers/TAL
Scuba Ltd can not be held responsible for loss or damage to personal equipment.
x. In any event TAL Divers and TAL Scuba Ltd will not be held responsible or
liable for any accident, loss, damage, or injury caused to club members, whether
self inflicted or by another party.
xi. Any training provided during or in conjunction with any club event must
be conducted by TAL Scuba Ltd whether payment is made or the training is conducted
for free. TAL Divers will not provide any training liability cover or insurance
for any unauthorised training. Any training must be pre agreed with TAL Scuba
Ltd prior to training commencing and all paperwork completed.
xii. All club members must prior to diving complete the following
a. Sign liability release form/s.
b. Satisfactorily complete and have on file an annual Medical declaration or
Provide a “fitness to dive” certificate of letter from their Doctor.
If any information relating to this fitness to dive self-certification changes
you must inform the membership secretary.
c. Have been accepted for membership of the club and paid that months fees.
xiii. Membership runs from 1st April until the 31st March each year. The Club
will invoice you on the 1st April each year unless you cancel. This will show
as an outstanding balance until cleared, i.e. will reduce each month by your
regular payment/Standing Order.
