This Advanced Equipment course has been designed over the years to provide a high degree on understanding of the function, repair and servicing requirements of Scuba equipment. This is not a scuba equipment-servicing course. However those wishing to go on and become equipment technicians are likely to benefit from this course. This course goes into considerable detail regarding the operation and servicing techniques. It is designed to give more experienced divers and PADI professionals a good understanding of the workings principles of diving equipment, helping them to "save a dive" if equipment has a problem and to make informed purchasing decisions.

Plenty of hands on experience so you can really see how things work. At least one first stage, one-second stage and one BCD inflator are stripped and re-assembled in detail in front of students. You get hands on whilst stripping & re-assembling equipment. We will also show you a large selection of new and used parts and spares so you can see what they look like and so we can show you both good and bad examples of equipment wear.
Eight Knowledge Reviews are required to be completed by the end of the course and A minimum of 75% must be scored to show mastery in either final exam A or B.
