Aware Fish Identification
Have you ever been scuba diving and asked yourself, "What was that?” The PADI Project AWARE Fish Identification Specialty course provides you with the fish identification basics so that next time, you know the answer. Even in the UK waters around Dorset there is masses of life,

Boat Diver
Boats are a great way to get to dive sites away from shore access. Learn the basics about how boat diving works, ways on and off the boat and safety whilst aboard and in the water. We have our own Dive Boat -DSV Vixen which can take you to all the popular local dive sites (there is more to diving than just shore based!)

Digital Underwater Photography (DUP)
Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever. The DUP Adventure Dive gets you going quickly with todays modern digital equipment. It's a great way to relive the adventures you’ve had, and capture images to share with your friends and family. You can show them the size of the one that swam by!!

Diver Propulsion Vehicles
DPVs offer a amazing way to see a lot of the underwater world in a shorter amount of time. They scoot you through the water without effort. Whether making a shore dive or diving from a boat, a DPV is a great way to see more and have a blast doing it.

Deep Diver
After your first few scuba dives, you soon want to explore a bit deeper. There’s something exciting and mysterious about the depth that attracts divers. Explore deeper with our PADI Instructors and discover the practical aspects of deep diving and what the physiological effects of deeper scuba diving are.

Drift Diver
Drift Diver introduces you to the coolest magic carpet ride you’ll ever experience. It shows you how to enjoy currents by “going with the flow,” staying with your dive partner, communicating with the dive boat and knowing where you are the whole time. We can get you flying over the Christchurch ledges or around the Peveril Ledges which is really cool for aqautic life. You can stay down for longer and see loads more! - Its like diving with a unlimited DPV!

--SPECIAL OFFER--

Take the Dry Suit, or Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dives and get the speciality rating for a discounted price of only £70 (not including certification fee)

Dry Suit Diver
Dry suits let you extend your dive season and if you stay warm and toasty on a dive! Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you off from the outside water and that keeps you warm! Even in surprisingly cold water. The adventure dive lets you experience this and shows you some of the differences.

Night Diver
Introduce yourself to the whole new cast of critters that comes out after the sun goes down. See your favorite dive sites from a whole new perspective at night. Very popular with new and experienced divers as you often see life which isn't out during the day! These dives are run from our Dive Boat - DSV Vixen and from shore. We visit many popular places such as Swanage Bay, Chesil Beach, Steamer Point and the Christchurch ledges. Come along and see what life you can see!

Peak Performance Buoyancy
Scuba divers like to be neutrally buoyant so they neither sink nor float. Divers who’ve mastered the highest performance levels in buoyancy stand apart. You’ve seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover, almost as if by thought. A critical aspect when exploring the wrecks and reefs around the Dorset coast.

Search and Recovery
Find lost items and lift them to the surface. It’s fun to use the lift bag! Not only are these skills fun, but very practical and ultimately useful because eventually, you’ll lose something in the water! You’ll learn how to search for and methods to recover it.

Underwater Navigator
Underwater navigation can be challenge, but one TAL Scuba will help you master! You'll learn the tools of the trade, including navigation via natural clues and by compass, underwater distance measuring and mapping a route to find your way back.

Wreck Diver
Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even cars nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting areas of discovery, and usually filled with aquatic life. We have loads of wrecks around the Dorset coast, and this is a great introduction on learning safe exploration of the outside of a wreck and what dangers to look out for.

**Other Adventure dives are also available please contact us for more information.**

PADI Adventure Dives can also count towards PADI Specialty Diver certifications. For example, if you liked your Night Adventure Dive in Swanage Bay so much that you want to specialise as a night diver, your night adventure dive can count as the first dive of that specialty course.

Advanced Open Water and Drysuit
I can't recommend TAL highly enough. Karen was extremely patient and encouraging, even though I aborted a couple of the advanced dives because I didn't feel right on the surface. I considered myself a bit of a pain after that, but nothing was too much trouble for them. Karen kept on encouraging, pushing me on when necessary until I completed the course. Thanks........ Advanced Open Water - I returned To TAL Scuba
Advanced Open Water - I returned To TAL Scuba to complete this course as I was so impressed with how well they looked after me in my OW Course. Well what can I say, all was very similar to the former. Great people, great methods of teaching and I felt both safe and at ease at all times. It would seem that nothing is too much trouble for Trevor, Karen and their team. Review by Dave :0) / (Posted on 27/02/2012)
Overall course Review
I completed my Advanced Open Water Course with TAL Scuba in Christchurch in summer 2011, having just completed my Open Water Course. The advanced course is part theory and part practical diving.

TAL staff ensured i was fully aware of what the coourse entailed before i signed up and paid. They also advised on the equipment i had and needed to do the course.

i found the theory managable and there was good support from the instructors at TAL when needed. On site diving was carried out by fully qualified instructors who created a fun yet progressive day for each student so they could all get on at their own pace. The venues were varied from open sea wrecks to inland quarrys such as vobster quay and Chesil Cove!

i personally found the course a really good achievement and this had certainly set in stone my want to get further trained to my own personal goal of scuba Instructor.
