About our Training
With 15 Years as a PADI 5 Star IDC (Instructor Development Centre) and Rebreather centre TAL Scuba offer quality training for rebreathers including the Hollis Explorer Rebreather. User and Instructor courses are overseen by our own in house PADI Course Director and Hollis and Poseidon Instrcutor Trainer - Trevor Leyland.
This course comprises of 6 dives, engaging theory sessions, practical sessions with lots of hands on and discussion with each other about how to and how not to! We will cover all aspects of using and diving the Hollis Explorer.
We include the optional scrubber packing PADI model FREE of charge within the course to any student wanting to pack their own Explorer scrubbers.
We also include FREE training on the optional Co2 Sensor - ONLY 1 minute Pre-breath!!!
Our students typically spend at least 6 hours under water over 6 dives on this course, so plenty of time to go site seeing underwater not just drills.

Whether you're diving in our own heated indoor pool, UK open waters, or the warmer waters of Malta or around the world, our aim is to give you the knowledge and support to enjoy safe bubble-free diving.
Our help does not finish when you finish the course, we are always here to help and advise our former students.
This course normally takes about 3-4 days, It's up to you, 2 or 3 dives a day. The course is performance based so may take longer.

What do I need to start?
To begin the Rebreather course you already need to be a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent with 25 Dives and the PADI EAN Nitrox Specialty. (We can do the Nitrox specialty at the start of the course).
Fitness to dive
All PADI courses require each student to complete a Medical Questionnaire This makes sure that medical conditions that could cause problems while diving, are properly identified and checked by a doctor. Please download the form and see if any conditions apply to you, If you have a YES then consult a Doctor who will check your condition and if all is good, sign a medical form confirming that you are fit to dive. Please bring a completed copy to your first training session with TAL Scuba ltd.
