PADI Drift Diver Course

Why fight the Current? Just Enjoy the Ride! - Drift Diving

PADI Drift Diver Speciality Course

We do more drift diving from local dive boats than any other type of scuba diving.

Drifting along is awesome! – Seriously it is! – You descend, get your buoyancy sorted and go with the flow. It is often described as natures magic carpet ride, flying past fish and aquatic life, seeing vast areas of the sea in a single dive, you never know what you will see and when its time to ascend, the boat is waiting for you right there! As you go with the flow, your air will last longer, you will be ‘flying’ along for longer and once try it, you’ll want more!

You will learn about

  • Planning and organising a drift dive, procedures, techniques, hazards, and problem solving issues that may arise during a drift
  • An overview of the equipment involved, such as lines, SMB’s reels etc
  • Site selection and current awareness
  • Buoyancy control, navigation and communication whilst drift diving

This course has 2 action filled drift dives from a boat, enjoy the thrill of drift diving under close supervision of your instructor.

How do you expect your skipper to pick you up if they cannot see your SMB!! This course is VERY useful for most divers - Trevor." Book Now - PADI SMB Speciality Course
